"The day after Thanksgiving and giving thanks for all our blessings, we headed to above and Beyond. Little did we realize we would have another blessed when we got there. We screamed with excitement when we arrived. The views are breathtaking. It rained Sunday and Monday but that was all right. We could sit on the couch and watch the clouds roll in and out.
We stayed busy seeing the sights. We went to Bryson city to ride the railroad and went panning for emeralds. My husband hit the motherlode. we went to the Indian Museum, the casino and the hotel lobby where they have beautiful Indian artifacts there. We saw 3 bald eagles for the first time in the wild while riding the nantahala gorge train. coming back home we saw 10 turkeys on the mountain.
We just love it here and we plan to return for our next anniversary.
We had no trouble leaving our new home we just purchased but we are having a hard time leaving here. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here. We took over 300 pictures. We don’t want to forget our week here."

" We loved the mountain climb to the cabin which we affectioately call "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride." We spent a day at the Biltmore, then dinner and the Candlelight Tour. We rode the Polar Express out of Bryson City. The view here is magnificent."
"Good morning. I am up to enjoy another beautiful sunrise over the mountains. My family is resting after another day full of adventure. We are here for only a short time but have made the most of it. We visited the Mountainside Theatre to see Unto These Hills. We have hiked to see many of the waterfalls, played in mountain streams and have taken the train ride. Got to mention some great real food especially The Smokehouse in Dillsboro.
What I have enjoyed most is the time spent with my family. The location of the house and the drive up to get here forces you to slow down and enjoy what's right around you. Such true blessings for which I am grateful. We thank you for sharing your home and we look forward to coming back.
The ride up the mountain has been a form of entertainment and excitement for us. The outdoor chiminea was a great way to spend a cool summer evening. On our last evening coming back to the cabin, we saw a large owl up close." Cranberry Township, PA
